LAST night at The Hilton Deansgate hotel in Manchester, boxer Amir Khan hosted a glittering fundraising dinner for the launch of the Amir Khan Foundation, raising a staggering £218,000 for the new charity (Charity Number 1158078).
A number of well-known faces, as well as 500 guests from across the country, joined Amir at the sell-out event, including much-loved stand-up comedian, actor and co-host Omid Djalili, ex-Bolton Wanderers star Kevin Davies, TV presenter Charlie Webster and basketball star John Amaechi.
The Amir Khan Foundation will provide crucial support to disadvantaged young people in the UK and worldwide.
