OUTRAGE has been directed at Erkan Teper after reports that the former European heavyweight champion failed a drug test emerged.

Teper knocked out Britain’s David Price in two rounds to win the European crown, a belt which he vacated citing an injury.

Price’s promoters, the Sauerland Brothers took to social media to say, “SHOCKING! Fighter was doped in big fight with a ‘big’ commission. It has taken them FIVE months to report. Wait til you hear it! Disgrace.”

It is an unpleasant reminder for Price, who hasn’t boxed since losing to Teper in July. David’s other conqueror, Tony Thompson was subsequently handed a ban for an anti-doping violation.
