A brawl nearly erupted after Hughie Fury and Joseph Parker weighed in for their WBO heavyweight world title fight.
Fury, who challenges Parker for the belt on Saturday at the Manchester arena, took to the scales today weighed in at 16st 10lbs. Taller than champion Parker, the New Zealander was the heavier man at 17st 7lbs.
With his world title belt over his shoulder, Parker went eyeball to eyeball with Hughie as they tried to stare one another out.
After a long, tense standoff they exchanged words, becoming increasingly heated. Hughie finally pushed Parker a step back before their respective entourages became embroiled in a near brawl. One man grabbed Fury’s arm, before being pushed away and security had to pile in to pull the two groups apart.
