PUERTO RICAN legend Miguel Cotto has not fought since his 2015 points defeat to Canelo Alvarez. But he insists heโ€™ll be ready for his August 26 opponent, Japanโ€™s Yoshihiro Kamegai.

โ€œIโ€™m really happy to be back. Iโ€™m really happy to be here. Our training camp starts on July 1. Weโ€™re going to return to Puerto Rico, Iโ€™ll come back in the last days of June. Iโ€™m going to do the best I can in the training camp just to bring my best. Kamegai, heโ€™s a tough fighter. I know heโ€™s coming with victory on his mind. Iโ€™m going to work as hard as possible. Iโ€™m going to do the best I can. For this fight Iโ€™m going to fight with my heart. As always,โ€ Cotto said.

Kamegai himself was full of praise for Cotto. โ€œFor me to fight someone Iโ€™ve been a fan of since I was 20 years old is an honour and I look forward to fighting him,โ€ he said.

But the Japanese fighter insisted, โ€œI am going out there to win this fight.โ€

He added, โ€œI really donโ€™t speak English very well but I do speak boxing and I plan to put on an entertaining and great performance. Please watch this fight.โ€
