IT’S unlikely that Manny Pacquiao is going to fight four times this year. He might indeed only have four fights left in his entire career. Getting in two fights in 2017 is more probable and Pacquiao will have to consider whether he would fight beyond 2018.

He told Rappler, “I’m not a robot. I’m human. To fight twice a year is hard for me, how much if I fight four times a year? It’s going be impossible.”

The world tour mooted by promoter Bob Arum is therefore unlikely to get off the ground. Pacquiao’s team are however waiting for the venue for his next fight to be confirmed before finalising the opponent. Unlikely Australian challenger Jeff Horn remains in the frame for a shot at Pacquiao.
