VASYL LOMACHENKO is on a path towards greatness. But tonight he faces a real test of the supremacy he’s demonstrated so far.
He already has won two Olympic gold medals and two world titles within just seven professional bouts. WBO super-featherweight champion Lomachenko has looked masterful so far but in only his eighth fight he’s taking on Nicholas Walters, a rugged, strong Jamaican, at the Cosmopolitan hostel in Las Vegas.
Walters, who defeated Nonito Donaire in 2014, is heavy handed. He will be a genuine threat, even against Lomachenko, who performed brilliantly well to stop Roman Martinez and win his world title (the Ukrainian’s second) in style.
