THREE world title fights will take place on October 10 at the Manchester Arena. WBO lightweight champion Terry Flanagan will make the first defence of his title against mandatory challenger, America’s Diego Magdaleno.

“From what I’ve seen of him he’s a good fighter and it’s going to be a good fight,” said Flanagan.

“This is a winnable fight for him. It won’t be easy but he can win this fight,” said promoter Frank Warren. “He can cement himself as one of the best lightweights in the world.”

Liam Smith becomes the next brother from his famous fighting family to contest a world title when he boxes Michel Soro for the now vacant WBO light-middleweight crown on October 10. “It’s exciting times for me and my family,” said Liam.

Andy Lee’s WBO middleweight title fight with Billy Joe Saunders has been moved to this bill in Manchester.

Liam Walsh will also appear on the show in what is expected to be a world title eliminator. Thomas Stalker boxes Craig Evans in an intriguing match. Luke Blackledge will box Lee Markham in a Commonwealth super-middleweight title fight and Jon Kays will take on Adrian Gonzalez. Jack Catterall is also set to appear on the show.
