KO artist Tiah Ayton joins Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing

FEROCIOUS puncher Tiah Ayton has inked a deal with Eddie Hearnโ€™s Matchroom Boxing, taking her first plunge into the murky waters of professional boxing.

As an amateur, the 18-year-old earned herself a fearsome reputation after bulldozing her way through much of the competition at domestic level.

Her performance at last yearโ€™s Youth Haringey Box Cup tournament, in particular, showcased a glimpse of the scintillating talent and potent repertoire of attacks she clearly possesses.

Despite competing at 60kg โ€“ 3kgs above her usual featherweight category โ€“ Ayton nonetheless secured two emphatic stoppages to claim gold at Alexandra Palace, London.

Soon after that, the Bristolian entered her two first international competitions and, sure enough, was able to extend her success at the elite level.

First, she became a youth world champion in Pueblo, Colorado, after outpointing Indiaโ€™s Anjali Kumari Singh in the final, while her previous two victories both arrived inside the three-minute distance.

Then, in her first senior competition, Ayton stepped back up to 60kg and claimed gold at the 2025 Golden Girl Championship Tournament, stopping her last opponent in the second round.

And while it is unclear where she will campaign as a professional, the highly-touted prospect, it seems, is happy to base herself anywhere between featherweight and lightweight.

Either way, the first step of what looks to be a promising pro career arrived today, with Matchroom Boxing announcing their latest signing via social media.

The addition of Ayton follows a string of Matchroom newcomers, including Adam Maca and Leo Atang, who all look to make their debuts sooner rather than later.
