GENNADY GOLOVKIN and Kell Brook were both inside the allowed limit of the WBC’s 30-day weigh in ahead of their middleweight world title fight on September 10.
Golovkin will defend his WBC, WBA and IBF middleweight titles against Kell Brook in London.
The WBC mandates that all fighters involved in a world title fight must undergo check weigh ins prior to the fight – 30 days out, seven days out and then the official weigh in one day before fight night.
Fighters must not be 10 per cent over the agreed fight weight, and ‘GGG’ scaled in at a trim 165lbs earlier today, well inside the tolerated 176lbs at this stage.
