KATIE TAYLOR, Michaela Walsh, Joanna Lambe and Claire Grace will represent Ireland at the women’s World championships in Korea in November.

Taylor will be aiming for her fiftth successive lightweight title at the tournament at the Halla Gymnasium venue on Jeju Island between November 13 and 25.

Walsh, boxing for Northern Ireland, was edged out on a split decision by Great Britain’s Olympic champion and World number one Nicola Adams in the Commonwealth Games flyweight final in Glasgow in August. An injury to Adams however means they can’t renew their rivalry in Korea.

The Belfast stand out competed at bantamweight for Ireland at the 2014 European championshipsbut dropped down to flyweight – which is one of the three Olympic weight classes for women –  for the Commonwealth Games.

Lambe and Grace go at 57kgs and 69kgs.
