JOSEPH PARKER is set to fight Carlos Takam in an IBF world title eliminator for the right to face the Charles Martin v Anthony Joshua winner.
Martin, the current champion, makes a voluntary defence of his title against the unbeaten Londoner at the O2 Arena on April 9.
The IBF have ordered Parker and Takam, their two leading available contenders, to fight each other in order to determine who will become mandatory challenger for the title.
Duco Events, who promote Parker, claim both men have agreed to take part in negotiations and they reportedly have around three weeks to agree a deal before purse bids are ordered.
Parker was scheduled to fight on April 17 though that contest has now been pulled as neither man would be allowed to box before the eliminator, which is being eyed for some time in May.
