GERVONTA Davis has been sentenced to 90 days home detention in Baltimore and three years probation for a hit and run incident in November 2020.

The Baltimore Banner reports that ‘the fighter must also complete 200 hours of community service and take part in other programs’.

The 28-year-old appeared at the Elijah E. Cummings Courthouse in Baltimore where Circuit Judge Althea M. Handy presided.

Davis had plead guilty to four charges following the incident which injured a pregnant woman and three others. The charges were as follows: leaving the scene of an accident involving bodily injury, failing to notify of property damage, driving with a revoked licence and running a red light.

On November 5, 2020, Davis left Medusa Restaurant & Lounge in downtown Baltimore and drove off in a 2020 Lamborghini Urus with a police escort. At around 1.50am Davis drove through a red light and hit the passenger side of a Toyota Solara. Davis fled the scene after causing injury to four individuals including the pregnant woman named as Jyair Smith.

Last month Davis, who now resides in Parkland, Florida, competed in his highest profile fight to date against Ryan Garcia at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas. The seventh-round knockout for ‘Tank’ and financial success of the event cemented his status as one of the biggest stars in the sport.
