BEN Whittaker and Liam Cameron resume their rivalry on Sunday night in a spicy light-heavyweight rematch at Birmingham’s Resorts World Arena.

Their first meeting, six months ago, ended in controversial circumstances when Whittaker (4/11) was catapulted over the ropes in WWE fashion as he grappled with Cameron (11/5). The referee called a halt, Whittaker could not carry on and it ended in a draw.

That was an unsatisfactory finish for all parties, which is why they’re now running it back. In the first meeting, Whittaker used his skills and athletic ability to take early control. However, Cameron adeptly dragged him into the trenches.

Whittaker was struggling. When the premature ending arrived, Cameron was the man on top. Literally, as they fell over the ring apron. Whittaker has since teamed up with Andy Lee and the pair will have to come up with a different strategy to get through this return fixture unscathed.

Whittaker is the favourite to make those adjustments, but Liam Cameron will be brimming with confidence. There is an argument that the Sheffield man has worked out how to better the Olympian and will continue where he left off in Riyadh (the carnival ending aside).
