PERHAPS Tyson Fury is starting to get back in shape.

WBA and IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, on Twitter, instructed the former titlist to ‘get fit you fat f***.’ Maybe those words stung Fury, who released footage of himself doing some padwork Monday.

His hands looked relatively fast, though his protruding belly is clear. Fury has a lot of weight to lose to return to being fighting fit.

Tyson had furiously responded to Joshua, saying, “He’s being himself now which is good.”

He addressed Joshua directly: “To be honest with you my old mate, I don’t need to get fit for somebody like you at all … even at 25 stone. I really don’t need to get fit for you.”

Fury was scathing about Joshua’s last performance against Carlos Takam on October 28. “You just fought a midget the other day in a hard fight. The referee had to stop it in case you got caught or beat. Bum city, like I always said. Useless, no gas, no stamina, too many weight. You want to practise on a bit more speed, a bit less power.”

Fury it seems would have done well to spend a bit more time in the gym. But his return to training is welcome for boxing fans. Watch the footage and see what you think:
