Three ways to beat a southpaw

Three ways to beat a southpaw

IF I was better at this, I would have won an Olympic silver medal! On the video below I give you three tips on how to beat a southpaw.

And Dereck Chisora needs to be great at all three of these things if he wants to get the win this weekend against Oleksandr Usyk.

Southpaws ALWAYS have the advantage of beating an orthodox fighter and the main reason is because southpaws are used to fighting orthodox fighters whereas orthodox fighters are used to fighting orthodox fighters.

Then when you have got an absolute master of the game like Usyk, he is so hard to beat because he does these three things perfectly.

The reason why another great southpaw, Vasiliy Lomachenko, was beaten a couple of weeks ago is because Teofimo Lopez could do these three things better than him on that night.

I was beaten in the Olympic semi-finals from a master southpaw in Kenny Egan, but if I was better than him at doing these three things, I would have come out on top. But I wasn’t.

If you do boxing or are a fan of the sport check out this video and it will give you a greater understanding of what goes into a fight like this:
