Three top training tips from Keith Thurman

Keith Thurman gives his three top tips for fight training

BN Staff

Three top training tips from Keith Thurman
Eric Walker/Premier Boxing Champions
  1. “IT’S sometimes good to spar guys who aren’t at the 12-round level yet, because they give their all for four rounds. If you can get three talented prospects to give you four hard rounds each, that’s all you require for a great sparring session.”
  1. “SPEED drills can be performed on the heavy bag. They help to build your shoulder muscles and force you to keep your arms up at all times. If you let your arms drop during a fight, you’re a sitting target for your opponent.”
  1. “WHEN you’re shadow-boxing to warm up, you should work on a lot of movement. Never try to hurry anything, as it’s very important to warm your muscles up before an intensive workout.”
