The Big Question: What will happen when Daniel Dubois and Joe Joyce clash on April 11?

The Big Question: What will happen when Daniel Dubois and Joe Joyce clash on April 11?

Wayne Alexander (Former European super-welterweight champion)

Dubois vs. Joyce is a very good British domestic dust-up. It’s always good for the fans to see two unbeaten fighters, especially heavyweights, come together to see who’s the best. My early prediction is that Dubois will try and bring Joyce into a war early on and, if Joyce accepts, it could be over before four rounds. But if it goes into the later stages you have to favour the more experienced Joyce.

Nigel Wright (Former English super-lightweight champion)

I think Dubois is technically too good for Joyce and I can see Joyce walking on to some big shots, as he is one-dimensional, and getting knocked out. Having said that, anything can happen with the big guys. It should be interesting, but I would go for Dubois by KO.

Ryan Walsh (British featherweight champion)

I’ll go for Dubois in a very exciting British classic. Joyce has a style that will possibly be his undoing. I don’t believe you can walk on to Dubois’ punches for twelve rounds, which is why I’m going for Dubois to KO Joyce after eight great rounds. Youth and power will win out.

Declan Warrington (Journalist)

Dubois having the higher ceiling meant that Joyce’s best chance came through preparing with Adam Booth. Given he’s not, Dubois will be too fluid and explosive for him, and will stop him before the final rounds.
