TERENCE CRAWFORD w rsf 3 JULIUS INDONGO
August 19, 2017; Pinnacle Bank Arena, Lincoln, NE
TERENCE CRAWFORD’S brilliant thrashing of Julius Indongo says plenty about the state of modern boxing. Firstly, what a crying shame that someone of Crawford’s ability must count this victory among the most noteworthy of his career to date. Particularly when one considers the talent that is in and around the weight classes in which he’s competed. It’s true that Indongo was deemed a minor threat but the fanfare surrounding the ‘undisputed’ title on offer was exposed pretty much the moment Crawford moved up in weight in his next bout and left the undisputed championship disputed yet again. But we should be thankful for something: At least fighters as good and talented as Crawford exist in the midst of all this mess.

DID YOU KNOW?
Crawford relinquished the IBF portion of his title just 11 days after winning the fight because he was under pressure from the organisation to agree terms to fight their mandatory, Sergey Lipinets.

WATCH OUT FOR: The savage body attack that leaves the previously undefeated Indongo unable to beat the count.
