HEAVYWEIGHTS Dillian Whyte and Lucas Browne will certainly be heavy when the time comes to trade punches tomorrow night (March 24) at London’s O2 Arena.
The bitter rivals weighed in this afternoon and both were notably bigger than they have been for some time.
Dillian Whyte’s weight of 254.2lbs is the second heaviest weight of his professional career. The only time Whyte, 22-1 (16), has been heavier, in fact, was when he hit the scales at a weight of 260lbs ahead of a routine tune-up against Malcom Tann in America last August.
Browne, meanwhile, a man whose weight fluctuates as much as his form, was today 264.5lbs, the eighth heaviest reading of his professional career. Bigger at the start of his career, Browne, 25-0 (22), has reduced his mass in recent years, hovering around the mid-250s, but this afternoon passed the 260lbs mark for the first time since a fight with Andriy Rudenko (263lbs) in 2014.
