CARLOS TAKAM knows that Dereck Chisora is an unpredictable opponent. In recent years Chisora has hurled a table at a press conference, rampaged through a hotel after his weigh in with Kubrat Pulev and Takam expects the unexpected from Chisora in the build up to their fight on Saturday (July 28) at the O2.

“Dereck Chisora is a crazy boy, Del Boy, I’m ready for everything. I know Dereck is going to push me. At the press conference he’s going to make a show. I know that and I’m ready for everything. I’m ready for the show, I’m ready for the bell. Any show I’m going to do, I’m going to do my show in the ring,” Takam told Boxing News.

“You’re going to see who is the big showman in the ring.”

Takam is a high level operator and he promises, “I know Chisora, he’s prepared for the fight. I know he told me it’s going to be war. I’m willing to make war, it’s no problem. I know the guy is going to be crazy in the ring, I know that. I’m going to control myself, make my boxing good boxing and control the guy.”

Victory could well lead him on to another heavyweight world title shot. “If I win on Saturday,” he says. “There are going to be good things for me. I’ll have many opportunities.”
