Cacace vs. Wood: Betting Tips and Odds

Boxing News Betting Tips for Cacace vs Wood:

ANTHONY Cacace and Leigh Wood meet in Nottingham tomorrow evening for a super-featherweight contest between two strong stalwarts of the domestic scene.

Both have operated at the world level. Cacace (2/5) enters as fight favourite over Wood (2/1), who hasn’t been spotted since his October 2023 stoppage of Josh Warrington. That’s a long time ago.

Cacace enjoyed a fruitful 2024 that started with a stoppage of IBF champion Joe Cordina and ended with a decision win over Leeds man Warrington. That’s solid form for the Belfast boxer.

This should be a good fight for as long as it lasts. Cacace, however, has been the more active of the two over recent years, carries the natural weight advantage and is said to punch harder than it first appears.

It could get physical at times, with both targeting the body while trying to gain advantages in the clinches. Neither man is afraid to mix it when required.

Wood will likely maintain his dig, even at this elevated weight, but landing the clean shots will be an issue. Cacace’s jab, ability to smother and break rhythm, combined with his consistency, means he’ll tap away until Wood either folds or finds a response.
