British title triumphs for Liam Williams and Chris Jenkins at the Albert Hall

Liams Williams

LIAM WILLIAMS defended the British middleweight title with a thunderous knockout of Joe Mullender. Williams dropped Mullender heavily in the second round. Yet referee Robert Williams let Mullender continue, only for Williams to come straight in with a right cross and level him at once.

Also on Fridayโ€™s bill at the Royal Albert Hall Chris Jenkins outpointed Johnny Garton to win the British welterweight title. The judges unanimously scored for the Welshman, Robert Williams 119-109, Steve Gray 117-112 and Marcus McDonnell 116-112.

Heavyweight prospect Daniel Dubois crushed Razvan Cojanu inside two rounds.

Light-heavyweight Anthony Yarde will remain highly ranked with the WBO after dismissing Travis Reeves inside five rounds.
