Wladimir Klitschko dropped Kubrat Pulev twice in round one on his way to an emphatic five-round victory on an electric night in Germany.
Pulev had started well enough and caused Wladimir to wobble from a jab. Klitschko was on his toes some of the time but held at others.
The second was a messy affair and Klitschko landed a long right hand in round three before sending Pulev back to the deck with a left hook.
The challenger was cut on the left cheek in round four and they exchanged some big shots in the fifth before Klitschko landed a hammer left hook to close the show.
Referee Tony Weeks didn’t even need to count.
