IN a star-making performance Liverpool super-middleweight Callum Smith destroyed Hadillah Mohoumadi in a mere one minute and 41 seconds to win the European title at the Echo Arena. This was also an eliminator for the WBC world title held currently by Badou Jack.
On the undercard Christopher Rebrasse dropped Rocky Fielding in the second round. But Fielding escaped courtesy of a split decision in his Liverpool hometown. One judge scored it 115-113 to the Frenchman but the other two cards went 114-113 to Rocky.
Fielding was returning to the Echo Arena after being halted in a single round at the same venue by Callum Smith last November.
British lightweight champion Scott Cardle was held to a majority draw by Sean Dodd. Cardle had it 116-114 on one card, but two judges had them level at 114-114.
