IT was a stunning result. Few expected Tyson Fury to defeat Wladimir Klitshcko, the man who had dominated the heavyweight division for a decade, and none expected the Briton to win the world title in the manner he did, befuddling the champ before winning a decision in Germany. 70% voted Fury’s triumph the upset of the year.
A different kind of shock saw Luke Campbell, a brilliant amateur who had looked sensation as a pro, dropped and defeated on points by Frenchman, Yvan Mendy. 22% saw this as the upset of the year.
6% voted for Krzysztof Glowacki beating Marco Huck and 2% voted for Badou Jack defeating Anthony Dirrell.
