Gervonta Davis vs Lamont Roach

One of boxing’s biggest attractions returns for the first time in 2025 but this may be the year Gervonta Davis hangs up the gloves. The WBA Lightweight champion has said he will retire by the end of the year, however he must first defend his title against Lamont Roach, the current WBA Super Featherweight titlist who moves up five pounds to challenge ‘Tank’. Meanwhile, Shakur Stevenson, Vasyl Lomachenko, Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia will all be waiting in the wings for Baltimore’s finest whose career needs another couple of marquee fights for his legacy. Roach, however, can change his life should he cause the upset.
