Biography

Professional career

Ryan Rozicki turned professional in 2016 and swiftly established himself as a local draw, given his knockout abilities and power punching style. Rozicki knocked out every opponent he faced, winning the NABF cruiserweight title with a first-round KO of unbeaten Abokan Bokpe in 2018.

Rozicki remained unbeaten until October 2021, when he suffered his first career loss to Oscar Rivas, who outweighed Rozicki by 19 pounds as the fight was contested for the WBC Bridgerweight title. Rivas had only lost to Dillian Whyte at heavyweight, and he never fought again after beating Rozicki.

Ryan returned to the winning track, remaining unbeaten after the Rivas loss, claiming a contentious split decision over Yamil Alberto Peralta in 2022 to pick up the vacant WBC International cruiserweight title. Peralta’s team contested the decision as all the officials were based in Canada. There is slight confusion over the official result, which was later altered to a no-contest by the WBC.
