Biography

Professional career

In March 2017, Hitchins had his first professional contest and spent much of his early career boxing at home in Brooklyn. In December 2021, Hitchins defeated Malik Hawkins on points in Minneapolis. After posting a safety-first performance, rumours started that Hitchins would soon be leaving the PBC.

After signing with Matchroom Boxing, Hitchins laid a beating on John Bauza before widely outpointing Jose Zepeda. On April 6, 2024, Hitchins defeated Argentina’s Gustavo Lemos in Las Vegas by a unanimous decision. Hitchins used his speed and defensive instincts to prevail, although some thought Lemos had done enough over 12 rounds.
