World heavyweight champions Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker both tipped the scales this afternoon ahead of their WBA, IBF and WBO world title unification clash tomorrow night (March 31) in Cardiff.
New Zealand’s Parker, the man with just the one belt (WBO), was first to weigh in and he recorded a weight of 16st 12lb 7oz (or 236.7lbs), which means he is nine pounds lighter than he was when boxing Hughie Fury last September.
Joshua, meanwhile, will defend his WBA and IBF belts having registered a weight of 17st 4lb 2oz (or 242.3lbs), the lightest he has been since weighing 240lbs in a 2014 fight against Michael Sprott.
