THE New Zealand light-heavyweight David Nyika really caught the eye at Glasgow 2014. He wept with joy when he stood on the podium with his gold medal but it was his technical skills that impressed in the tournament. He’s a rangy, elusive, stylish boxer. Difficult to reach, artful, it’ll be interesting to see whether he can carry that form into 2015 and how effective it will be against the top internationals at 81kgs.
