THE air was thick with excitement when Carl Froch and George Groves engaged in their May 31Â super-middleweight rematch at a sold-out Wembley Stadium.
There wasn’t much to choose between the enemies as they entered the eighth round, but Froch concluded their bitter rivalry with a violent right that was loaded with months of torment. Groves was out before he hit the deck yet managed to scramble up after the landing stirred him. But he was lost in Cloud Cuckoo Land, and the fight was over.
