ONE of Britainโs emerging talents Jordan Gill has earned himself the opportunity that heโs been craving and will faceย Jason Cunningham on Matchroom Boxingโsย JDNXTGEN show in Manchester.
โThe Thrillโย can secure a British featherweight title fight if he defeats Cunningham in an eliminator at Victoria Warehouse on Sunday 25th February,ย live on Sky Sports.
Gill has been denied the opportunity to fight for the English strap, but victory over the former Commonwealth champion will put him in line to face the winner when Ryan Walsh defends the Lord Lonsdale belt against Isaac Lowe on February 17.
The Thrillโs Time To Shineโฆ
โI want to be fighting regularly and I want to be in big fights,โ said Gill, who is trained by Dave Coldwell. โThis year Iโm looking at all the top guys in Britain, and they know it.
โIโve had two fights with Dave and itโs really clicking. Iโm mandatory for the English title, but Samir Mouniemne vacated the title because he didnโt want to fight me, then Ben Jones said no. These guys donโt want to face me, but I can take a step closer to the British title in Manchester, so things are looking good.โ
