Tyson Fury’s trainer dismisses Wladimir Klitschko’s ‘mind games’

TRAINER Peter Fury is satisfied the simmering row over the gloves Tyson Fury will wear for the Wladimir Klitschko fight has been resolved.

Speaking after the fighters weighed in today in Essen, he insisted the dispute had not been a distraction in the final days before the fight. โ€œMind games arenโ€™t going to work,โ€ Peter said.

โ€œI think itโ€™s been resolved. Weโ€™re going into the rules meeting now and I believe everythingโ€™s pretty straightforward.โ€

He was satisfied too with the weigh-in itself. โ€œThe main thing is theyโ€™re similar weight so Iโ€™m very happy with that,โ€ Peter said.

โ€œItโ€™s going to be very interesting this fight, heโ€™s prepared very well, I think we could see the best Tyson Fury weโ€™ve seen.

โ€œWe need the victory. Thatโ€™s what Iโ€™m looking at. Iโ€™m not looking at being a competitor.โ€

The trainer cautioned, โ€œThis is boxing, this is why itโ€™s so entertaining, this fight can end in one punch.โ€
