Panel: How do you see Anthony Yarde vs Lyndon Arthur going?

Anthony Yarde

Andy Clarke
Commentator

Iโ€™ve always liked this fight a lot. Arthurโ€™s jab is key. He has to be able to keep Yarde off him, to gain his respect, and I think he has the snap to do that. But I also believe Yarde is harder to hit clean than people think. It will be close but Iโ€™ll pick Yarde to stay patient and take a tight one on points.

Lyndon Arthurโ€™s long reach, punch variety, movement and fast hands make him a huge potential banana skin for Yarde. Definitely a very tough next fight. Iโ€™d have Yarde as a slight favourite but nowhere near as strong as the bookies have him.

Paul Edwards
Former British champion

Itโ€™s a great fight. The experience might come into play but Iโ€™m going for Lyndon Arthur on points. I think that heโ€™s a better boxer. Heโ€™s got something about him. I think heโ€™s going to be a star. I do like Yarde, heโ€™s a beast.

Paul Smith
Former world title challenger

Lyndon Arthurโ€™s a tough kid. Probably both of them are made for each other. Arthurโ€™s got a chance of doing it. I think Yarde needs to have improved from the Sergey Kovalev fight. Arthur could beat Yarde because of the styles but I think Iโ€™d go for Yarde on points.

Darren Barker
IBF titlist

Itโ€™s an intriguing match up but one where I fancy Yarde. When he gets in full flow he can be a nightmare for the best of them. Jazz them up how you want.
