“I started to change as a person, I got a little bit arrogant, cocky. When you’re getting Young Fighter of the Year and Knockout of the Year [awards] and people are ranting and raving, you start to believe it yourself. There’s a fine line between being confident and being cocky. I crossed that line. If nothing’s going wrong, you’re going to believe the hype. It takes a fine man to keep it under control. It’s a massive reality check.”
