AHEAD of his super-welterweight contest with Sergey Rabchenko at the Sheffield Arena, Kell Brook completed the final run of his training camp on Monday.
He returned to Bramall Lane, the site of his most recent punishing defeat to Errol Spence, where last year Brook lost the IBF welterweight world title that he held so dear.
Walking them out through the playersโ tunnel to his ring entrance music, โAll of the Lights,โ Brook ran a last 1k round Sheffield Unitedโs ground, accompanied by supporters, a group of the players and his Ingle gym-mates includingย Kid Galahad, who will box on the same bill.
โIโm incredibly proud of Sheffield and to be joined by so many supporters, for my final run ahead of the fight, especially in the freezing cold, was very special,โ Brook said.
After his tragic death last Saturday, Scott Westgarth was in the former champions thoughts. Brook said, โThe boxing community and Sheffield suffered aย massive loss over the weekendย with theย tragic passing of Scott Westgarth. Iโve dedicated this fight to him, his family and the city. The supportย Iย received today shows how untied this city isย and I canโt wait to get out there on Saturday night and get back to winning ways.โ
