MANNY PACQUIAO has arrived in Los Angeles to conclude the training camp for his November 5 fight with WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas.
The Filipino icon was set to have his first day of training at Freddie Roach’s Wild Card gym yesterday, though ABS-CBN are reporting that he needed to catch up on sleep instead.
Pacquiao could only travel to America from his home country so late due to his commitments in the Senate.
His team claimed he was still tired from the long-haul flight, and so was focusing on rest rather than running the risk of burning out.
His burgeoning political career has meant he has had to fit his training around a busy schedule, which sees him wake up at 5am, workout, then work the whole day in Congress before a long training session in the evening.
Pacquiao is set for a training session later today, which will include some hard sparring, as he winds down the camp for his comeback fight.
