NEW YORK — When he stepped to the podium at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, Gennady Golovkin talked of adding another notch to his title belt.
The undefeated Kazakh fighter is already a WBA, IBO and interim WBC middleweight champion. But Zolan Kanno Youngs writes that Golovkin has the opportunity to unify belts on Oct. 17 in a bout against Montreal’s David Lemieux, in both fighter’s debut as a pay-per-view headliner.
