ANTHONY YARDE isnโt at the top of Frank Warrenโs priority list right now.
Yarde, who has worked with Warren since the beginning of his career, will appear on a rival promoterโs card next week. The 33-year-old fights on October 19 at the Copper Box in London on a show promoted by Boxxer, headlined by Adam Azim vs. Ohara Davies.
As of yet the light-heavyweight contender doesnโt have an opponent but it does hint at another crack in the relationship between Yarde and Warren.
Warren, who is in Riyadh this week for the Beterbiev-Bivol fight week which features some of his own stable, was asked by Boxing News ifย Yardeโs fight away from Queensberry is a one-off.
โI donโt know where weโre going with it,โ Warren replied.
โLike Iโve said for a while as long as the contractual position is dealt with correctly, and at the moment it has been, weโll see where it goes from there โ I havenโt got a problem.
โAs far as the future Iโve got to be honest itโs not something thatโs on top of my list.”
So, will Warren work with Yarde again?
โI donโt know whatโs going to happen,โ he answered.
โAll I know is that thereโs a massive fight on Saturday with the two best in the world and thatโs where we are. See where they go and how the dust settles after that with that division. Itโs a very, very interesting division.โ
