Floyd Mayweather

IN an interview with Showtime, to be broadcast on Saturday (May 9), Floyd Mayweather addresses the claim from Manny Pacquiao that the injury sustained to his right shoulder hampered his ability during the bout.ย  Mayweather also discusses the possibility of a rematch with Pacquiao and fighting beyond his next scheduled event in September.

โ€œAbsolutely not,โ€ Mayweather said when asked if he could detect a problem with Pacquiaoโ€™s shoulder during the bout.ย  โ€œHe was fast.ย  His left hand was fast.ย  His right hand was fast and he was throwing them both fast and strong.

โ€œExcuses, excuses, excuses,โ€ continued Mayweather, who remains undefeated in his professional career with 48 wins, no losses and no draws.

โ€œIโ€™m not going to buy into the bull—โ€ฆ and I donโ€™t want the public to buy into the bull—-.ย  He lost.ย  He knows he lost.ย  I lost a lot of respect for him after all of this.โ€

Mayweather goes on to address the possibility of a rematch.

โ€œDid I text Stephen A. Smith and say I will fight him again?ย  Yeah, but I change my mind,โ€ said Mayweather.ย  โ€œAt this particular time, no, because heโ€™s a sore loser and heโ€™s a cowardโ€ฆ If you lost, accept the loss and say, โ€˜Mayweather, you were the better fighter.โ€™โ€
