Deontay Wilder claims Anthony Joshua would give up against him

ANTHONY JOSHUA did not impress Deontay Wilder as he halted Carlos Takam in 10 rounds to defend his WBA and IBF world titles. Wilder holds the WBC belt and claims Joshua would not be able to last the distance with him.

“He will show courage until he runs out of gas, then it’s life and death for him,” Wilder predicted, speaking to Premier Boxing Championships. “Once he’s tired, I see him giving up. Once that happens, I’m going to turn up the heat on him and it’s a wrap. They may throw in the towel.”

Wilder also tried to discredit the Briton’s stirring victory over Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley stadium earlier this year.

“Joshua beat Klitschko when [Klitschko] had no belts,” he added. “And he was coming off a [17-month] layoff and the loss to Tyson [Fury.] I’ve seen a lot I can exploit in Joshua that I’ll keep it to myself, but he ain’t ready for me.”
