LONDON heavyweight Daniel Dubois destroyed Ebenezer Tetteh inside a round at the Royal Albert Hall on Friday (September 27).
The 22-year-old added the Commonwealth title to the British championship he already holds. Dubois remained in the savage form he demonstrated last time out when he halted Nathan Gorman at the O2 Arena. Ghana’s Tetteh was hopelessly outgunned.
Dubois’ jabs jolted his head back and Tetteh felt them at once. Quickly Dubois landed his right cross. Tetteh, moving slowly, kept his guard up and gingerly reached for Dubois with his own right. Promptly Dubois dropped him, a left hook opening up the path for his cross to hit the chin. Tetteh rose but Dubois clubbed him back down to the canvas and took a straightforward stoppage win before the first round was even over.
Dubois advances to 13-0 (12), Kevin Johnson the only man so far to have gone the distance with him.
