It’s hard to see a way back after that comprehensive defeat. You’ve got to feel for him having to wait so long for his mandatory. I think he needs a bout with Deontay Wilder and to win it to stay around the top table.

Dillian can come back but I think at age 34 and after some brutal wars he should call it a day. He has millions in the bank and had a fabulous career so why continue to put his health at risk?

It all depends on Dillian. That’s a big loss on the biggest stage but he is more than secure financially. Whether he wishes to start rebuilding, wait for an opportunity if Fury retires. It may be too long to wait as I feel any title shot he may get he will have to earn the hard way.

There will be big fights out there for him. If AJ loses to Usyk then Joshua vs Whyte II could happen, or he could fight the winner of Joyce vs Parker, or possibly even Lawrence Okolie assuming he steps up to heavy. Can he win those fights though? That’s the question, and if he can’t then I think he’d call it a day.
