Rafael Espinoza vs. Robeisy Ramirez – Boxing Betting Prediction
RAFAEL Espinoza has already managed to get one over on Robeisy Ramirez and now the Mexican turns from challenger to champion as the pair aim to revisit their 2023 barnstormer.
Despite being the WBO featherweight title holder, Espinoza (20/21) remains an underdog going in against Ramirez (4/5). The Cuban is a two-time Olympic gold medallist who shook off a stuttering start to professional life by capturing a world title…before Espinoza took it from him.
Ramirez was not without success in their first meeting. He even dropped Espinoza heavily in the fifth. The fight looked as good as over. The end was surely near, as a formality stoppage loomed.
The sizeable Mexican refused to read the script and used his gangly frame, long levers and fierce workrate to not only box his way back into it but increase the tempo to such a degree that he forced a fight-changing knockdown in round 12. Robeisy was overwhelmed with the volume. It was enough to sway the judges’ scorecards in Rafael’s favour.
Ramirez has shown previously that he can battle back from adversity and he’ll need every ounce of focus and resolve to take the belt back off Espinoza, who is still something of an unknown quantity. Ramirez can use his amateur skillset, punching power and experience to target Espinoza’s body, use the Mexican’s size and aggression against him and right the wrong of the first meeting.
