WITH more than 4,000 fans filling the Motorpoint Arena, a Samoan group performing a wardance and a brass band, the weigh-in alone was an event. Expect something special then, with WBO, IBF and WBA world titles on the line and two unbeaten, reigning heavyweight world champions meeting in a unification for the first time in the UK, in front of about 78,000 at the Principality stadium in Cardiff. The Anthony Joshua vs Joseph Parker ringwalk time is expected to be between 10pm and 10.30pm on Saturday (March 31).
Joshuaโs recent fights have been spectacular. 90,000 watched his epic battle with Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley stadium. Almost 80,000 were at the Principality stadium to watch his defence against Carlos Takam in October and he returns to same venue in Wales for another blockbuster.
โAt 10.30pm on Saturday night, the attention of the sporting world will be focused on Principality Stadium as these two unbeaten giants put it all on the line โ British boxing has never been in better shape and weโre proud to yet again make history with AJ,โ promoter Eddie Hearn said.
