Anthony Crolla vs Jorge Linares fight time plus date and venue

The fairytale journey for Anthony Crolla continues tomorrow night (September 24) in what is, on paper, his toughest fight to date. The Mancunian hero will defend his WBA world lightweight title against division leader Jorge Linares, who previously held the WBC title though had to vacate it due to inactivity caused through injury. Linares will travel to Manchester Arena in Crolla’s hometown for what is a real 50-50 clash. The ringwalks are expected at around 10.30pm.

Rounds scheduled

12 three minute rounds.

TV Coverage

Sky Sports 2 broadcast live in the UK. Their coverage starts at 7.30pm. AWE have picked up the US rights to the fight, with coverage beginning at 2.30pm ET/11.30am PT.

Undercard highlights

Hosea Burton was originally scheduled to defend his British light-heavyweight title against Frank Buglioni in a great matchup, though a cut Buglioni sustained during sparring means Fernando Castaneda has stepped in to face Burton in a non-tile fight. Middleweights John Ryder and Jack Arnfield meet in what should be an entertaining 12-rounder. Callum Johnson takes a step up in class when he vies for the vacant Commonwealth light-heavyweight title against Willbeforce Shihepo over 12 while hot prospect Marcus Morrison meets Matiouze Royer.
