“I think it is [likely to happen],” promoter Eddie Hearn told Boxing News. “Everyone just presumed we’d try and swerve the fight but that was the resolution when we took the [Darleys] Perez rematch, that we’d have to fight the winner of [Derry] Mathews against Barroso and then Mitchell against Barroso. So we’re talking to Greg Cohen at the moment and that’s the likely fight for May, early May, May 7. Mitchell wasn’t himself that fight. He can fight, Barroso, he can punch. I think Crolla’s underrated as well.”
