10 active fighters whose fathers boxed professionally

Julio Cesar Chavez Jnr

1. Julio Cesar Chavez Jnr

Chavez Jnr has been very much a love-hate character in his 56-fight pro career but did win a WBC title at middleweight. His father, of course, was one of the legends of the sport, winning 107 of 115 fights and ruling featherweight, super-featherweight, lightweight and super-lightweight divisions.

2. Chris Eubank Jnr

Written off from day one, Chris Eubank Jnr, a former British middleweight champion, has achieved plenty in a 28-2 career and remains on the hunt for a world title. His father never won a British title but did defend the WBO super-middleweight title 14 times.

4. Tyson Fury

Long before Tyson Fury defeated Wladimir Klitschko to win the world heavyweight title in 2015, his father, John, was making a living as a pro heavyweight and boxing the likes of Henry Akinwande and Michael Murray.

6. Conor Benn

Rough and tough like his father, Conor Benn is still learning on the job at 15-0 and knows he has a way to go to replicate the success of Nigel, who thrilled the boxing world during world title reigns at middleweight and super-middleweight.

8. Jorge Paez Jnr

Willie โ€˜The Body Rockโ€™ Monroe was a middleweight contender from Rochester, New York, who went the distance with Otis Grant in 1993 and fathered current middleweight contender Willie Monroe Jnr, 24-3. Willie โ€˜The Wormโ€™ Monroe, meanwhile, was Monroe Jnrโ€™s great uncle.
